Royal Commission into the Home Insulation Program

The Royal Commission into the Home Insulation Program was established on 12 December 2013 by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO.

Mr Ian Hanger AM QC has been appointed as the Royal Commissioner to inquire into the Australian Government's Home Insulation Program, in accordance with the terms of the inquiry set out in the Governor-General's Letters Patent. The Royal Commissioner is asked to provide a report of his findings and recommendations on or before 31 August 2014.

Royal Commissioner Ian Hanger QC has revised the timetable for receipt of written submissions. All submissions should now be lodged with the Royal Commission by no later than Wednesday, 4 June 2014 at 4.00pm. It may not be possible for Commission staff to properly consider submissions made after that time. Practice Guideline 5 sets out the process for making a submission to the Commission.
